What are the latest developments from AIME?
AIME recently deployed its flagship AI Dengue Platform in Penang on a commercial basis. The contract saw Penang become the first state in Malaysia to integrate AI predictive capacity in its work process to contain and control the outbreak of dengue, which saw bettertargeted intervention, high impact outcome and more efficient use of resources.
What has been the impact?
Deployment of AIME has seen positive tractions. Human capital and material resources are allocated more efficiently across the state, as planning can be done in advance. Numbers of reported outbreaks gradually decreased statewide due to the confounding effect of effective control interventions.

Do you have any work on the horizon you are excited about?
AIME sees huge potential in utilising big data analytics to solve pressing global health issues – like antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and pandemic influenza. We are of the perspective that by going beyond passive statistical data analysis, AIME can leverage its AI capability in predicting the next influenza outbreak and emerging microbial resistance strain to antibiotics, thus enabling better preparedness and response measures.
