Talking heads: Get to know some of the region’s brightest business minds in Focus Asean

GE Capital International, the financial services division of the General Electric conglomerate, has hired Robert Plehn as its new capital markets leader, effective July 1.
He will be responsible for strategic capital markets activities for GE Capital businesses across Asia-Pacific and Europe, including cash flow and asset-backed loan and lease syndications.
He replaces Ellen Brunsberg, who was appointed as the president of GE Real Estate Europe. Plehn joins from Lloyds Banking Group, where he spent more than ten years, most recently as head of the asset-backed solutions team.
GE Capital has about 25,000 employees and revenues of more than $11 billion, providing mid-market customers with a range of financing solutions such as inventory finance, asset-backed lending, cross-border financing, leveraged finance, leasing/vendor finance and fleet management solutions.
