Bureau Veritas, a global testing, inspection and certification organisation founded in 1828, inspected Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra’s food production systems and awarded it Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) certification. HACCP is a process control system designed to identify and prevent microbial and other hazards in food production.

Sofitel’s HACCP-based food safety system encompasses activities from the point of receiving goods, storage, preparation, cooking, rapid cooling, transportation, reheating, holding and displaying – right up until guests are served their food and beverages.

“This certification demonstrates the perpetual improvement of not only our industry but across Cambodia, endorsing international standards and competing as an equal in the global arena,” said Charles-Henri Chevet, area general manager for Sofitel Phokeethra Hotels in a recent press release.
