Andrew MacGregor Marshall is a journalist and author mainly focusing on Southeast Asia. He spent 17 years as a correspondent at Reuters, covering war and conflict in several parts of the world, and now works as news editor at The Scotsman newspaper.
He is the author of an acclaimed book on Thailand, A Kingdom in Crisis, which was banned by the Thai regime.
