To this end, ISHCMC has expanded its subject selection within its Secondary School to introduce film, technology and media studies in the 2018/19 academic year. ISHCMC’s brand new secondary campus has moveable walls providing students flexible and modern learning environments. Students develop their creativity through design technology suites, a recording studio, community garden, science laboratories and a 350-seat theatre offering performers the opportunity to express themselves.
With over 50 nationalities represented throughout the student body, diversity is at the heart of ISHCMC ethos of progressive education. To develop children as a whole, students will have access to an expansive rooftop soccer pitch and multi-purpose athletic courts, NBA-size basketball field, Olympic standard swimming pool and community cafe. Perhaps most importantly, ISHCMC offers every one of its students, parents and teachers the chance to participate in daily mindfulness lessons through meditation, art and stillness to cultivate an ongoing commitment to improving mental wellbeing and reducing stress and anxiety. ISHCMC is also the only school in Ho Chi Minh City to invest in an air purification system in recognition of the undeniable importance of clean air to growing lungs.
As the first IB world school in Ho Chi Minh City accredited to offer all three International Baccalaureate programmes, ISHCMC has a proven history of providing its students the resources they need to achieve academic excellence. For the second year in a row, an ISHCMC student achieved the highest possible result of 45 points in their final examinations. ISHCMC is proudly inclusive, whereby all students study the IB Diploma Programme with almost a quarter of students achieving results of 39 points or higher. More than two-thirds of students achieve the bilingual diploma, preparing them for a thriving career in a globalised world.
